Have you awakened during the past weeks and said to yourself, “What day is this?” I know I have to mentally stop and refocus on even the day of the week. Never in our lifetime, have we experienced a time like this.

Someone posted “”Until Further Notice the days of the week are now called, thisday, thatday, otherday, someday, yesterday, today and nextday”.

My week is always built around my routine for each day of the week, and all of that is anchored by Sundays. Without the gathering of saints on the Lord’s Day, I can easily get confused by the days. Why are we like that? What is it about changing our routine that is so upsetting.

I read early this morning the following excerpt:

Adrienne Heinz, a clinical research psychologist at the Veterans Affairs National Center for PTSD, notes: “Our routine is the scaffolding of life. It’s how we organize information and our time. And without it, we can feel really lost.”

As a result, she says, “I’m . . . really worried about families. I’m worried about increases in alcohol use. I’m worried about domestic violence. I’m worried about child abuse, because parents are under-resourced.”

It is easy to be settled and safe in our own environments. Yet, God is speaking in Loud Tones to every believer, “you have an important work to finish”. We must pray and intercede for others during this crisis. Even when we cannot  meet together, we can and MUST pray. Listen to what Mordecai said to Esther and her response.

Esther 4:13  And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews. 14  For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” 15  Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai: 16  “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!”

So, the IPHC leadership, has helped us deal with this issue. They have asked us to Fast and Pray on Wednesday during this crisis.  Will you join us? At least that way we will have one day to anchor to.

Whatever we want to think about this crisis, we are all in this together. As Christians, we should set the example of obedience and faith. Others are watching how we deal with these things. But most importantly God is watching. Despite all the inconveniences and all the frustrations. I believe “the kingdom is for such a time at this.” God Bless You as you Pray.

Here is the devotion describing the Monday before Passover during the last week of Jesus life on Earth. This is Devotion #4 in the series.

Here is the link to view the Palm Sunday Service. I tried to have everyone sing together, but that did not turn out like i hoped…… lol……….  and I have reduced most of the video to just seeing me……..  don’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable on screen.  This is our third time, each one gets a bit better, so I figure the first time I have a “Perfect” video…. the will lift the “Shelter in Place” Mandate and we can all get back to church soon……..  God Bless
